La verdad, no seré yo quien aporte algo nuevo a lo que significa la conmemoración de esa fecha. Todo o casi todo ha sido escrito ya sobre el periodo repúblicano. Y no simplemente porque la antidemocracia llamada monarquía fuese suplida por la elección de un jefe de estado, no. La educación, la cultura, el trabajo, se intento que fueses dignos, al alcance de toda la sociedad, fuera de élites perennes desde los siglos de los siglos.
Evidentemente, la cultura es denostado por los que proclaman el "viva la muerte, abajo la inteligencia", pero eso ya es otra historia.
